As we enter into the new millennium, it has been nearly 100 years since our family started in the housewares business. We look back to the year 1902 when Ludwig Hutzler started producing metal housewares in Germany. His son, Lothar Hutzler, took with him the experience he learned from his father and founded Hutzler Manufacturing Company in the United States in 1938. Because of the scarcity of metal supplies during World War II, Hutzler became a pioneer in plastic housewares.

The very first products we made were plastic cookie cutters, measuring spoons and funnels. In the 1960's, we began molding with Melamine, the highest quality plastic available. Our Danish Design Six-Piece Melamine Serving Set won numerous awards and has since been copied by manufacturers all over the world. The 1970's was when we began producing Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon Utensils. We made the engineering breakthrough that the fiberglass gives additional strength that is lacking from traditional nylon.

These enhanced nylon utensils are now used daily by major fast food chains. In the 1980's we began our line of unique baking gadgets: the Cookie Press, Quick Whip and Fun Gun. These won us great acclaim as they actually worked so effortlessly and made baking that much simpler! And the 1990's saw our biggest expansion ever! We began molding in-house; we became fully computerized, adding EDI and an in-house art staff; and we built a new warehouse. We also acquired the Progressus Company, a leading manufacturer/ importer of quality wood and metal housewares. This has brought us full circle, back to our roots.

This website reflects our efforts to create innovative products, attractive designs and quality promotions. We have added many new products to our line, looking to what is useful and missing from the marketplace while making use of all that technology has to offer.
